Poshaak

Radial Poshaak — Sunrise Yellow

₹750

The Fact

Yellow belongs to Guru — Jupiter. At 526–606 THz, it is the colour of wisdom and abundance. Pitambari — the yellow-wearer — is one of Krishna's 108 names, recorded in the Vishnu Sahasranama. On Guruvaar, this poshaak is not a choice. It is a logic that has held for four thousand years.

The Science

This poshaak is built on radial pleating — the yellow fabric is gathered and folded outward from the centre in uniform folds, creating a three-dimensional sunburst construction. Each pleat is an independent surface sitting at a slightly different angle from the one beside it. When light from a diya falls on the poshaak, it does not illuminate one flat surface — it illuminates twelve to sixteen individual planes simultaneously, each catching and releasing the light at its own angle. The poshaak appears to shift as the flame moves. That is not an illusion. That is the geometry of the construction working exactly as intended.

Alankar — Styling Note

The Thursday Alankar for festive occasions. Pair with the pearl mala, the peacock mukut, and fresh yellow marigolds. This is the definitive Guruvaar combination — worn across every major Vaishnava temple on Jupiter's day. Nothing needs to be added to it.
