Geometric Star Poshaak — Sindoor Red
Red is the colour of Mangal — Mars. It carries the frequency of the root chakra, the energy of action, beginning, and protective strength. On Mangalvaar, red on the murti is not merely tradition — it is alignment with the planetary frequency of the day, practised in every Vaishnava temple for centuries.
Red carries a natural positive charge. Combined with the copper or brass base of the murti, it creates an elevated energy field around the altar space. This is not mysticism — it is documented electrochemistry, and it is why temples in Vrindavan have dressed their murtis in red for over four hundred years.
The Tuesday Alankar. Pair with the coral or red bead mala, the jewelled arch mukut, and a fresh marigold at the base of the offering plate. The red poshaak demands a full Alankar — keep nothing half-done. If the jewellery is not ready, wait for it.
