Natkhat Miniature Bicycle
Bal Krishna is described in the Bhagavata Purana as natkhat — mischievous, always in motion, always the one who finds a way to play even in the midst of the cosmic. Of course he has a bicycle. He was cycling through Vrindavan long before Vrindavan had roads.
Hand-crafted in metal alloy with gold plating and red and blue enamel detail. The frame is shaped by hand before plating — the spokes of each wheel are individually rendered. Sized precisely for 3 to 8 inch murtis.
Place to the left of the murti at ground level, as if it has just been leaned there casually. Pair with the saffron daily cotton poshaak — the everyday Alankar is the right context for the bicycle. Reserve the heirloom poshaak for occasions where he is sitting still.
