Neelamber - Poshaak & Pagdi set
The Fact
Blue is the colour most associated with Krishna's own complexion in scripture — the sky, the ocean, the infinite, all described as Krishna-varna, "the colour of Krishna." A blue poshaak is not decoration. It is the closest colour match to how he is described.
The Science
The same gold bee-and-floral zari border as Jhunjhunu behaves differently against a blue base than a yellow one — blue absorbs more of the warm spectrum, so the gold reads brighter and more contrasted against it, appearing to sit further off the surface.
Alankar — Styling Note
A Shanivaar poshaak — deep blue, restrained and regal. Pair with a gold mala and keep the rest minimal. The matching pagdi is made specifically for this poshaak — worn together, always.
