The Fact
Neelkanth — "the blue-throated one" — is a name shared across Krishna and Shiva iconography, both associated with the deepest, most saturated blue in the Vaishnav colour vocabulary. It is a colour reserved for the most commanding, most regal presentations of the divine.

The Science
Zardosi's metal thread is built up in raised layers above the fabric plane, rather than sitting flush against it. This height difference means the gold paisley motifs catch overhead light at a different angle than the flat blue base — the surface never looks static, even in still light.
