The Fact
The concentric scalloped rings are built in direct reference to the mandala — the Vedic diagram of energy radiating outward from a single central point. Every ring you see moving outward from the centre is a deliberate echo of that same expanding structure.

The Science
Each scalloped ring sits at a slightly different depth from the one beside it, creating a stepped surface rather than a flat one. Light falls unevenly across these depth changes, so the poshaak reads as visibly layered even when viewed from a single fixed angle.
