Hariyal - Poshaak & Pagdi set
The Fact
Parrots — tota — appear throughout Krishna iconography as messengers of love, most famously in Radha-Krishna miniature paintings where a parrot perches nearby, said to repeat what it overhears between the two. Here, a pair face each other above a field of small flowers — the forest of Vrindavan compressed into one poshaak.
The Science
The gold sequins are set in a fixed diamond lattice rather than scattered freely — this creates a steady, structured shimmer as light moves across the grid, rather than the chaotic flash of randomly placed sequins. It reads as ordered, deliberate radiance.
Alankar — Styling Note
A Budhvaar poshaak — green, Mercury's colour, the forest he calls home. Pair with a tulsi mala and a fresh green leaf. The matching pagdi is made specifically for this set — worn together, always.
