Pearl Flower Mala — Triple Strand
Three strands in the Vaishnava tradition represent the three paths of devotion — jnana, bhakti, and karma. The triple-strand mala is the complete offering: knowledge, love, and action, worn simultaneously on the murti as a statement of the wholeness of the devotional practice.
Three separate hand-strung pearl strands, unified at a central cluster with hand-enamelled lotus caps in red and gold. The complexity of the triple-strand construction means that each mala takes three times as long to make as a single-strand piece — and the difference in the drape on the murti is immediately visible.
The heirloom mala, reserved for Janmashtami and the major celebrations. The triple strand requires more space around the neck of the murti — ensure the poshaak neckline accommodates it before dressing. The two trailing red silk cords are left hanging as a traditional finishing detail.
