Krishna Flute Brooch

₹399

The Fact

The bansuri — the flute — is Krishna's defining attribute across every text in which he appears. The Bhagavata Purana describes the sound of his flute as the one thing that stopped every living being in Vrindavan simultaneously. To place the flute in the Alankar is to reference the moment of complete devotion.

The Craft

Gold-plated metal with hand-set multicolour rhinestones and enamel detail. The flute form is shaped from a single piece of metal, then the stone-setting is done by hand — each stone placed individually to follow the curve of the instrument without breaking the visual line.

Alankar — Styling Note

Attach at the side of the murti, held in the right hand in the traditional playing position, or at the chest alongside the mala. The flute brooch is appropriate for every occasion — it is the one piece that belongs in every Alankar, every day.
