Haath Pendant — Red Rhinestone
The hand — haath — is one of the most significant iconographic elements in the Hindu tradition. The five fingers correspond to the five elements. Five teardrop drops from the five fingertips represent the five offerings — panch upchar — made in every puja. This pendant is not decorative. It is a complete ritual in miniature.
Hand-shaped gold-plated metal in the form of an open palm, covered in hand-set red and white rhinestones with five hanging teardrop drops attached individually. The hand shape requires a cast base, after which the stone-setting is done entirely by hand — over two hundred individual stones per piece.
Attach at the chest of the murti for the major festive occasions, or include in the Janmashtami Alankar as the fifth element — the piece that completes the set of offerings. The red stones correspond to the Mars energy of action; the white to the purity of intention. Together they represent the complete devotional gesture.
