Bandhani set
The Fact
Marigold — genda — is the single most offered flower in Indian worship, strung into garlands at every temple gate and threshold in the country. The colour itself carries the weight of that offering. To dress him in marigold-orange is to place the most common act of devotion into permanent form.
The Science
The radial pleating construction means the fabric is gathered from a central point and folded outward in dozens of even creases. Each fold catches diya light at its own angle, echoing the same layered structure as the marigold flower's own overlapping petals — the poshaak and the offering it's named for share one geometry.
Alankar — Styling Note
A Ravivaar poshaak, Surya's colour at full strength. Pair with a gold mala and a fresh marigold at his feet. The matching pagdi is made specifically for this set — worn together, always.
